Dance Art camps begin each day with creative movement and dance. This fun filled movement class is designed to encourage creativity and promote gross motor development. Next comes a Nature Craft! Time to cool down and work on fine motor skills. Snack for hungry campers is a must—along with some wading and water fun. Story time provides some quiet time to recharge...then onto art for more creative fun. The camp week ends with an informal showing on Friday 11:45 -12.
Composition and Production Camp Ages 7 & Up 9 - 1:00 pm $150 week
Stretch, strength and conditioning begins the day. A technique class in Ballet, Contemporary, or Jazz works on dance skills. Production class teachers elements of publicity, costuming, stage make-up and set design. Snack time refuels dancers. Composition class explores the elements of choreography and provides time for experimentation. Dancers take a lunch break and cool off in the pool. The afternoon is for choreography which is featured in the informal showing on Friday from 12:30 - 1 pm.
Sew Fun in the Afternoon Ages 8 & Up 1 - 3:30 pm $45 per week

Basics of hand and machine sewing are taught in this project oriented hands on workshop. No previous sewing experience is necessary.
Technique Intensive Camp Ages 11 & Up 9 - 1 PM $150 Week or Add on to Composition / Production 2 Weeks $275
Dance technique should be a year round pursuit. Use this camp to stay in shape or try something new. Each day will begin with core work to help strengthen the back and abdominal muscles. A ballet class will focus on classical technique and alignment. After a quick break, a stretch class will challenge dancers to increase dynamic flexibility. Contemporary class offers work on modern technique and improvisation forms. Another short break for a snack then end the day with a fast paced jazz class.
This intense dance experience is aimed at the serious student. Students ned to be a the intermediate level or above, and should be open to hard work and new experiences! The week will end with an informal showing of repertory on Friday 12:30 - 1 pm.
